Prepare For Baby Boxes
At Meridian, we want you to enjoy a carefree pregnancy so you can focus on a healthy delivery. To help support you and your baby, we offer members in Berrien, Genesee, Kalamazoo, Kent, Macomb, Oakland, Saginaw, St. Clair and Wayne counties who are enrolled in Smart Start for Baby (SSFB) a Prepare for Baby Box .
The box includes:
- Diaper bag
- Bottle
- Two outlet covers
- Sleep Sack
- Baby Book and Planner
- $15 CVS gift card
It comes in English and Spanish speaking versions and includes a variety of educational materials covering lead poisoning, breastfeeding, car seat safety, smoking, and vaccines.
Enrolled members in eligible counties can ask for the box when speaking with their care manager. They will need the member's name and address. Boxes cannot be sent to P.O. boxes.
Members who get a box are agreeing to take part in monthly calls from care management staff throughout the rest of their pregnancy. Calls align with current stage of pregnancy the member is in.
