Childhood Vaccine Coverage Notice
Despite recent changes to the CDC Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedule, Jan. 5, 2026, coverage for childhood vaccines has not changed. Meridian continues to cover recommended childhood vaccines in accordance with federal requirements, state policy, and plan contracts.
What Providers Need to Know
- Childhood vaccines recommended by the CDC as of Dec. 31, 2025, remain covered by federal insurance programs and Affordable Care Act insurance plans
- No loss of coverage or reimbursement is expected due to the recent CDC schedule updates
- Coverage continues under Medicaid EPSDT requirements, which ensures access to preventive services for children
- Vaccines for Children (VFC) program vaccines remain available and unchanged
