Provider Directory

Dear Providers,

Based on several key provider discussions it's come to our attention that there is alignment needed related to our "do not display" field on our Meridian Roster Template Standards. We have learned that this field is a holdover from our former Meridian MCS system where this field was utilized to support open panel status/accepting new members. However, since our 2022 system migrations this field is no longer needed as we do expect that all providers in our network are displayed in our directories. When providers are suppressed from our directory, these providers are not considered in our MDHHS and CMS Network Adequacy submissions.

To control the marketing aspect of our providers that are "not accepting new members" and do not want to be contacted by Meridian members for appointments those providers will be displayed in our directory as having a closed panel and not accepting new members. This is done through your direct control via your roster submission and our Panel Field.

Provider panel status continues to play an important role in member assignment and access. Maintaining accurate panel and demographic information helps ensure appropriate member-provider matching and supports network adequacy requirements.

Provider Action

Currently, no immediate action is required. Providers should continue to ensure their demographic and panel status information accurately reflects their current availability.  If you have questions or need to update your panel status, please follow established provider demographic update processes or contact Provider Relations through the Provider Inquiry Form.

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to providing access to care for our members.
