Meridian offers dental coverage to Michigan Medicaid members at no cost to you.
Who Has Dental Coverage?
You have dental benefits if you are enrolled in the Healthy Michigan Plan or are age 21 or older and enrolled in Michigan Medicaid. Meridian works with Delta Dental to provide your dental care.
Dental Coverage for Kids and Teens
Children under age 21 who have Medicaid are covered through the Healthy Kids Dental program. Dental plans include Delta Dental of Michigan or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Your child will get a separate dental ID card and handbook from their dental plan.
What’s Covered?
Preventive care includes:
- Checkups
- Cleanings
- X-ray
- Fluoride treatments
Treatment services may include:
- Fillings,
- Root canals
- Extractions
- Gum care
- Dentures, repairs and crowns may also be covered.
Some services have limits or need approval.
