Notice: Behavioral Health Visit Limits starting 1/1/2026
Starting 1/1/2026, Meridian will implement a prior authorization (PA) requirement for some behavioral health services after the 24th visit.
This change aligns with Meridian’s ongoing commitment to make sure you receive proper, clinical care while supporting high-quality outcomes.
What This Means
- Visits 1-24: No prior authorization is required. You will continue to have uninterrupted access to behavioral health services during this initial period.
- After 24 Visits: You will have to work with your provider to get prior authorization for certain behavioral health services beyond the 24th visit. This process will make sure that ongoing treatment remains medically necessary and tailored to meet your individual needs.
If the request for additional services is not approved, we will call your doctor and send you written notice of the decision.
